It is my pleasure to introduce Advocate Himanshu Dhandharia, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and a qualified lawyer with over seven years of experience in data privacy, information governance, and regulatory compliance. He currently serves as an Information Governance Officer at Oxford Brookes University, UK, and has previously worked as an Assistant Professor of Law & Technology at UPES, Dehradun. Mr. Dhandharia holds an LL.M. in Technology, Media & Telecom Law from Queen Mary University of London, an LL.M. in Corporate Laws from NLU Jodhpur, and an LL.B. from the University of Delhi. His unique academic and professional journey from Indian courts and classrooms to the UK’s privacy and compliance sector offers valuable insights for students aspiring to pursue international legal education and careers abroad.

Today, we have with us Mr. Utkarsh Raj, an experienced In-House Legal Counsel with a strong background in banking and finance law, arbitration, corporate law, and dispute resolution. He has worked with leading institutions such as SBI Card, HDFC Bank, and the Aditya Birla Group, and has also been associated with the Supreme Court of India. With over five years of experience navigating the complex intersection of law, finance, and compliance, he offers valuable insights into both the corporate legal landscape and the financial challenges faced by today’s youth.

It is my pleasure to introduce Assistant Public Prosecutor Nikhar Baranwal, an accomplished legal professional currently serving with the Government of Jharkhand. Ms. Nikhar completed her B.A. LL.B. from Law College Dehradun and went on to pursue her LL.M. in Criminal Law from Punjabi University, Patiala, where she graduated with first-class distinction and earned the distinction of University Topper and Gold Medalist. She qualified the UGC-NET with an impressive 97.76 percentile. Her professional journey reflects a rich mix of litigation, academics, and public service. She has also served as a faculty member at ICFAI University. In her current role as an Assistant Public Prosecutor at the District Courts, Ranchi, she represents the State in magisterial courts, handling prosecution work and contributing to the administration of justice at the grassroots level.

It is my pleasure to introduce Dr. Dhawal Shankar Srivastava, an accomplished legal academic and researcher with a strong interdisciplinary background. Dr. Srivastava completed his B.A. and LL.B. (Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University, followed by an LL.M. with dual specialization in Criminal Law and Corporate Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, where his research focuses on organ transplantation laws and the ethical and legal challenges surrounding organ trafficking. He has served as both a Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow at USLLS, GGSIPU, and has held faculty positions at reputed institutions, including IILM University and Christ University, where he has taught a wide range of subjects. Dr. Srivastava is a prolific researcher, having authored and co-authored numerous publications in UGC CARE and SCOPUS-indexed journals, and has presented research papers at several national and international conferences. His diverse experience in teaching, research, and legal practice makes him an inspiring figure for law students aspiring to pursue academic, research, and policy-oriented careers.

Today, we have with us Advocate Chandrika Dutta, a graduate of Amity Law School, Delhi, who went on to pursue her LL.M. in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Rights from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom (2022–2023). She has gained hands-on experience both in India and the UK — having worked as a Paralegal with leading law firms such as Singh & Singh Law Firm and Vohra & Vohra IP Attorneys in Delhi, and now working at EDF Energy, Brighton. This conversation aims to guide law students aspiring to study or work in the UK, with a focus on the LL.M. journey, practical aspects of studying abroad, and career pathways such as paralegalship. Today we have with us Prof UpmaShree. Ma’am is an accomplished academician in the field of law with nearly a decade of teaching and research experience. She completed her B.A. LL.B. from GGSIP University in 2013, followed by an LL.M. from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) in 2014. She cleared the UGC-NET in 2016 and is presently pursuing her Ph.D. at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Her teaching career spans several reputed institutions, including Raffles University, JIMS Greater Noida, Amity Law School Noida,Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) Delhi, and Delhi Metropolitan Education. She has taught a wide range of subjects such as Property Law, Family Law, Law of Torts, ADR, Labour Law, International Trade Law, and Emerging Technologies in Law. Prof. Shree has made significant contributions to legal scholarship with research papers, book chapters, and conference presentations on diverse topics including Artificial Intelligence and Law, Mediation, Human Rights, Gender Justice, and Healthcare Policy.
